Found On: 99 Luftballons (1984)I don't know what the original German lyrics mean, but this is a brilliant translation, addressing the fear and war-mongering that is as topical today as it was 24 years ago. A child's red balloons are mistaken as an outside attack. Great line: "The war machine springs to life / opens up one eager eye."
